Luxury Shepherds’ Huts in North Yorkshire set within a peaceful corner of our working farm beside our private fishing lake. Offering a calm, adults-only setting in beautiful countryside surroundings, this is a place to truly switch off, unwind and enjoy a high-quality glamping escape.

The Space

Each hut is thoughtfully designed to feel warm, cosy and welcoming, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find a comfortable double bed and a small single bed (suitable for children under 10), along with a small kitchenette for preparing simple meals and a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.

The space is carefully arranged to make the most of its countryside setting while still providing everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay.

The huts are positioned in a quiet, scenic area of the farm next to our fishing lake, with open views across fields. Guests are welcome to book fishing during their stay, offering a peaceful way to enjoy the natural surroundings.

There is also a parrot sanctuary on site, run as a charity, and guests have the opportunity to book a unique experience with the owner to learn more about the parrots and the important work the charity does. For this experience, guests must enquire with plenty of notice to allow arrangements to be made. It’s a memorable addition to your stay and something quite special to enjoy during your time here.

Dogs are welcome (additional fees apply), and the farm setting provides plenty of open space to enjoy countryside walks. We kindly ask that all guests read the full terms and conditions on our website prior to booking.

The Area

Just a short drive away, the market town of Thirsk offers traditional Yorkshire charm with its cobbled square, independent shops, cosy cafés and welcoming pubs. Browse local butchers and bakeries, visit the famous World of James Herriot, or enjoy a relaxed afternoon wandering the weekly market. Thirsk has everything you need while still retaining that warm, small-town countryside feel.

Beyond Thirsk, you’re perfectly positioned to explore the very best of North Yorkshire. The vast open landscapes of the North York Moors lie to the east, ideal for scenic drives and breathtaking walks, while the rolling valleys of the Yorkshire Dales sit to the west. The historic cathedral city of Ripon, elegant Harrogate with its Turkish Baths, and the dramatic Yorkshire coastline including Whitby are all within easy reach — making this an excellent base for both peaceful countryside breaks and days out exploring some of Yorkshire’s most beautiful destinations.

Guests have exclusive access to the hut as well as the communal grounds.

Keys to access the hut are stored in a lock box on site and the code with be provided to the guest 3 days before arrival.
